Happy back to school week! Although I am well out of college - this time of year makes me nostalgic as I'm reminded of my favorite time of year. Back to school shopping. Similarly, this week growing up was usually the week that I decided that I could not put off my summer reading assignments any longer. Although I would historically read a number of books during the summer, somehow my assigned books were always last on the list. Summer reading for me means taking a time out from life and de-stressing - so if your looking for thought provoking complicated vocabulary novels, look elsewhere.
The books that I've read this summer are Divergent and Insurgent: an incredible series if you enjoyed the Hunger Games. As a side note - the author is a 24 year old grad student from Northwestern which just blows my mind. Also making the list, The Fault in Our Stars which was heart breaking but such a good read.
That brings me to the books I have left to read these being The Spectacular Now, Looking for Alaska, and Elanor & Park. I'm giving myself until the end of the summer to read these - I'll let you know how it goes!
What's on your summer reading list? I'd love to know!
