It's time for my new month goals! Thank you again to everyone you commented on my March motivations post. Your kind words meant a lot. In case you were wondering, I took 13 yoga classes last month! I'm hooked on hot yoga and have started to try more intermediate Vinyassa classes.
This month my goals are not only around fitness but overcoming the battle of being so hard on myself.
Do/Experience: Running was always something that was considered a punishment to me growing up. I played soccer for 15 years and absolutely hated running during practice. One of my goals this month is to slowly start running more. I love being outside and hope that I can actually start to enjoy the beautiful parks around me by running through them. Read: I've heard great things about this book and I can't wait to start reading it! Live: The problem I find with trying so hard to get back into shape is being frustrated when I don't see results right away. I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself and find myself looking in the mirror more when I've been working out consistently. I hate that I do this and I am going to concentrate on not comparing my 19 year-old self to me at 26. Yoga has been great for my mind and body so far and I hope to continue to not care as much about ridiculous things (such as the stupid thigh gap) and be proud of how strong I've become.
