Unless you’re Brit from the Bachelor, waking up with a full face of makeup is considered a no-no. While most women how important it is to remove your makeup before bed, there are a few crucial steps in a nighttime beauty routine that can have you shouting...I woke up like this.


While I shared a variety of options for your morning skincare routine, I’ve perfected my night time routine over the past couple years and swear by these products.

  1. The first step is to remove your makeup with your preferred makeup remover or wipes. My favorite is the Neutrogena make-up remover wipes. 

  2. I step up my cleansing game at night, especially if I’ve worked out, and use a salicylic acid cleanser which is known for controlling breakouts and ridding the skin of excess makeup and dirt. This cleansing gel smells amazing and a little goes a long way.

  3. Two to three times a week I use my Clarisonic with this cleanser for an extra deep cleanse and exfoliation.

  4. Next is the toner to calm my skin after the deep cleanse. I particularly love this one at night because my skin feels instantly tighter after using it and it has rosewater in it which is a great soother.

  5. I haven’t perfected my night cream usage yet and use a rotation of brands from Kiehl's to Tart and Clarins.

  6. Lastly, I apply Origins “nightamins” moisture which is a nice heavy moisturizer, without feeling oily, to seal everything in before bedtime. Of course, it also it smells amazing.
